The group exhibition Latitudes opens on Monday at 19:30 at the El Cabildo Cultural Centre, facing the Plaza de Armas in Asunción's historic centre. It brings together paintings and sculptures by artists from Paraguay, France, Hungary, Mexico, Argentina, Brazil and Uruguay.1
Now in its sixth edition, the project is led by cultural manager Horacio Guimaraens. It was started to bring international artists to Paraguay, in the spirit of the regional art competitions once held within Mercosur but with a wider geographical reach.1
The works range from traditional oil painting to contemporary sculpture. Entry is free, and the exhibition stays open until the end of October.1
