Editorial standards
The rules every Ñandutí story follows.

1Named sources
Each story is based on sources we can name: official bodies, organisers, clubs, researchers or established news outlets. They are listed and linked at the end of every story.
2Checking
Names, dates, places and numbers are checked against the source before publication. When sources disagree we say so.
3What we cover
Culture, food and farming, festivals and travel, sport and science. We leave out party politics, election campaigns, courts, crime and armed conflict.
4Signed and edited
Every story carries its author's name and is edited by a second person.
5Illustrations
Photographs on the site are illustrations, created with AI tools or licensed, and are labelled as such. They do not show the actual event.
6Software
Reporters write the stories. We use software for spelling, translation help and illustrations, and an editor reviews every page.
7Advertising
Advertisers cannot choose, change or preview our stories. Sponsored content, if we ever publish it, will be clearly labelled.
