Paraguay's international tourism fair FITPAR opens on Friday, with the Dominican Republic as guest
Three days of destinations, food and shows at the Mariscal convention centre. Entry is free with online registration.

FITPAR, the International Tourism Fair of Paraguay, runs from Friday 16 to Sunday 18 October at the Mariscal convention centre in Asunción. It is organised by Asatur, the association of travel agencies and tourism companies, and the Dominican Republic is this year's guest of honour.12
Entry is free for the public, but visitors must register in advance on the fair's website.2
How the three days work
The opening ceremony is on Friday at 11:00, followed by business meetings, destination presentations and live shows until 19:00. Saturday starts with a meeting of tourism students at 9:00 and includes a national cocktail and flair bartending contest. On Sunday the fair opens at 11:00 and closes with shows by visiting delegations and the award for best stand.12
Brazil's tourism board Embratur will be among the larger foreign exhibitors.2
